Amy Shell is an architect and urban designer based in New York City. She holds a Master of Science in Urban Design and Architecture from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma. As a graduate student, she received the William Kinne Fellows Prize and the Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Prize.
With a focus on multi-scalar analysis and place-based research and design, Amy’s work in urban design and architecture centers on both critical and imaginative experimentation in regards to social equity, public infrastructure, sustainable systems of energy amid complex environments, and the radical possibilities of redefining the public realm and physical form of the 21st century urban landscape.
